Volunteer Managers Forum

The Wiltshire Volunteer Managers Forum was set up in 2019 to support volunteer managers and co-ordinators in their role, to share and develop best practice and to champion volunteering within Wiltshire.

The Forum is managed by a steering group of Volunteer Managers and supported by Wessex Community Action.

Members of the steering group use their own experiences, skills and knowledge as well as the feedback from forum members to develop a program of forum meetings that support local voluntary sector volunteer managers and co-ordinators in their practice.

Wiltshire Inclusion Network

The Wiltshire Inclusion Network promotes and supports equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the county for clients, staff, volunteers.

The forum highlights positive change and good practice, and how we question and challenge, to ensure Wiltshire becomes a beacon for equality of access and opportunity for all.

Wiltshire Children and Families Voluntary Sector Forum

The Forum works across Wiltshire to bring together voluntary organisations offering services for children and families. The Forum is funded by Wiltshire Council and works closely with the local authority to ensure there is a strong relationship and good partnership working between the public sector and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.

Membership is free and open to all VCSE organisations working with children, families, and young people in Wiltshire.

Voluntary & Community Sector Forum

Wessex Community action is a convener of the voluntary and community sector in Wiltshire, hosting forums that enable to members to share knowledge and explore joint challenges.

Bringing together the collective voice and action of the sector to public bodies and businesses, the Voluntary Sector Forum:

  • Promotes partnership working and networking with other agencies
  • Shares and promotes best practice
  • Considers and responds, where appropriate, to consultations, new research and evidence, and reports
  • Promotes volunteering as a worthwhile and rewarding activity

Forum meetings provide an opportunity to:

  • Connect with others in similar roles
  • Share experiences, challenges and ideas for learning and development
  • share news, developments and guidance relevant to volunteering

The Forum currently meets face-to-face and online 3-4 times a year.

Wiltshire Together is not a business directory for commercial organisations, as we would then need to charge advertising rates (which we don’t). We will approve relevant activities added by non-profits.

How quickly will we approve activities?

We aim to approve activities within 2 working days. Our admins do not work Fridays, so activities posted on a Thursday may not be reviewed until Monday.
